How to install PC TrueType fonts NOTE: Never Install a TrueType and Type 1 font with the same name. FROM WINDOWS 3.x. Installing TrueType Fonts (Recommended, if you do not use Adobe Type Manager) From Program Manager open MAIN and double-click the Control Panel. Select (double-click) the Fonts icon. When you see the ADD FONTS dialog box, select ADD. In the Drives box, select the drive letter for your CD-ROM drive. When the CD-ROM opens, you will see several named folders. Open the "FONTS" folder. You will see a list of numbered sub-folders; find the number of the font you want to install and double-click on it. Each numbered folder contains two sub-folders. Each sub- folder name repeats the font number followed by True or Typ1 to indicate the font type. We recommend that you use TrueType if you do not use Adobe Type Manager Open the TrueType folder. You'll see the font's name appear in the "List of Fonts" window followed by the word TrueType in parenthesis.
